Shreya had always wanted to become a photographer. But she felt that if someone asked it would be proper to mention that she wanted to become a doctor. However, after attending the career awareness camp in her school she realized that there's nothing special about being a doctor just as there is nothing shameful in being a photographer. Further, by analyzing the 'traits and skills' required for a professional photographer, she was convinced that she could well pursue photography as a serious career option.
Afrin always thought that in order to be successful, it was important to choose a prestigious profession. Hence, she wanted to become a lawyer. But during the career awareness camp she realized that she actually wanted to become a nurse and serve humanity.
Debosmita wanted to become a teacher but after analyzing the 'traits and skills' required for the profession she found that she had more inclination towards being a doctor than a teacher. Hence, she decided to become a doctor. Also, based on the results of RIASEC, a model of psychometric assessment which Debosmita was made to undergo, as well as looking at her scores in the relevant subjects, it was found that she could become either a teacher or a doctor.
Saptoparni said that she had always wanted to become an IPS officer but her father wanted her to become a doctor. By analyzing the 'traits and skills' required for the professions in the camp, she realized that she could make a good and efficient IPS officer. Realizing this, she was extremely thrilled and wanted to convince her father about her dream.
Upasana was a little confused as she had wanted to be a researcher but analyzing the 'traits and skills' required for a profession she found that she had more matches for an engineer than a researcher. Her classmates cried out that she should become a dancer and nothing else. When asked why she had not considered the option of being a dancer, Upasana answered that it was her parents' wish that she take up some serious profession and carry on with dancing as an add-on. She was advised to choose her career in agreement with her parents and pursue dancing as a hobby. Thereafter, while discussing her traits and skills it was deduced that she could well become a researcher.
Paromita said that she had wanted to become a psychiatrist before and analyzing the 'traits and skills' required for the profession she confirmed her goal. In addition to that, she realized that she could also become an actress since she has verbal efficiency and is good at facial expressions.
Ria had thought that she would become a doctor but after doing the MI activity in the career awareness camp she discovered that there were several career options like air quality specialist, animal health technician, geologist, veterinarian assistant, etc. Since she didn't like Geography and was fond of Life Science, she decided to become a veterinarian doctor and was very happy about that.
